for PC... reason/ableton are your best bets... you could also use cubase or mackie's tracktion (I actually use tracktion from time to time)

you need something with a better sequencer than what fruity has to offer... unless your remix is PURELY sample based... fruity isn't the way to go...

http://www.dors.de/razorlame/ it's been out of production for a while... but all you do is extract the latest lame files into the razorlame folder and you are set to go... set your encoding options and just drag and drop files to the main window... works flawlessly for me... I'm using it with lame 3...

I use razorlame which is just a frontend for the lame encoder...
