Martin Merida start summer off with a bang. The duo is comprised of two Los Angeles music veterans - Merlyn Martin and Hector 'Huggie' Merida. Lotus on Portugal's Monog Records Imprint is a beautiful deep house journey with muted beats, strong melodies, and dub leanings, and addictive vocal from recent Los Angeles transplant - Martin Orchard from the Midlands UK.
Martin Merida worked together on the 2010 Tech House track - Merlyn Martin & Huggie ‘Confirmation’ on Polytechnic Recordings, which went to #3 on mypromopool.com Top 20, and was also included on the ‘Tech House Essentials Vol. 2’ on Label Works Recordings. Individually Merlyn & Huggie have produced and remixed music for such labels as Baker Street Recordings, Perfecto Black, Xela Digital/BIT Records , Stripped Digital, NOSI Music, A-Squared Muzik, Looq Records, System Recordings, just to name a few. Their music has received support from the likes of Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin, Lucianao, Q-Burns Abstract, Jamie Anderson, and the Advent.
