DJing with the AKAI APC40 + Ableton this Friday @ Spannk
Just say my name before 11:30 for free entry at Spannk downtown Gainesville..
This is going to be a packed night and we're going to be really heating it up.
this midi controller is so Fing awesome...been messing with it all afternoon.
The opening DJ has a track coming out on tiesto's label (I know)
I'll be dropping alot of original tracks Friday. I hope to see you guys there.

tiesto has actually been getting more into house as far as production and the talent he is trying to push. WIth this said I am not a fan of his. Just a side notejosh wickham wrote:

Hey if you want some tips on mapping hit me up. I finally got mine maped to perfection.
Check out these 2 tutorials.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqJcHCWq ... re=related

also got my play, stop, an record button just above the crossfader mapped to start loop set loop and exit loop is realy handy as well.
i have been hearing some people doing this with the tap tempo and nudge buttons but it sucks if you want to mix in and out of cd's or other sources. also another good one it to move the stop clip function down to the record arm buttons and use the 1-8 track stop buttons for speaker on and the 1-8 track selection buttons for bass kills.
I hope you like some of these ideas.

top left meaning all the colored buttons that form a square = the clip matrix triggers all tracks, loop and or middi that you have loaded into ableton.Double Y Chrome wrote:I have never looked into these before....how do you know what each of those buttons does in the top left?
