Details: 2005 has been an exciting year so far for ROBOTS. Still less than a year old the New York party has become one of the most talked about events in the city with residents, Nick ac, Bill Patrick and Dennis Rodgers treating the audience to some of the finest underground electronic music available anywhere in New York. Ranging from electro to house to minimal to techno, the party has become the haunt for quality music. The next few months will see them host, Michael Mayer, Jake Fairley, Marco Carola, Magda, Matthew Dear, Radioactive Man, and Tobi Neumann to name a few. But perhaps the most exciting party of them all is the collaboration this year with one of the legends of the scene at the Miami Winter Music Conference in March: SVEN VATH Someone who embodies the spirit of the party both in his music and in his actions. There could be no better person to represent ROBOTS down in Miami. Joining them on his World Tour to celebrate the release of his DVD/CD "Sound of the Fifth Season" and the end of his and Cocoon's fifth year at Amnesia in Ibiza. (A testament to his vision of bringing techno to the Island that was at that time predominantly "ruled" by British DJs and the house and progressive scenes. Five years later and the Cocoon parties at Amnesia are some of the most popular and respected parties not only on the island, but around the world. The DVD/CD gives two mixes from the man himself, one live at Amnesia, a live performance by Alter Ego (at the closing party at Amnesia 2004) and interviews and insights into the party and the people behind it. An essential purchase!) The party with ROBOTS and SVEN this year looks set to be one of the highlights at WMC being held at one of the most in demand venues at the conference: B.E.D. This intimate space has hosted some of the most memorable parties of the last few years at WMC. The crowd and DJ are in such close proximity to one another it creates a magical vibe often missed in the big clubs.
