havnt been there...dunno who's night it is...but enation's old friend DJ Krucial will be playing electro-house(or something) from 10-12...he's not playing as Krucial anymore and no dnb but imma go see the new club. it's the back of the old Doc's office supply building, next to the Loft/Roof entrances...

lol...both of those things cross my mind every time i think about this night. i didnt wind up going. or anyway, i didnt wind up getting in. i had just got off work & was in dickies, sneakers & a GuerrillaNoise tshirt...guess that wasnt "impressive" enough cus even tho i was on the guestlist i was told to go change my shoes or shirt. theres where the name Status comes in for ya i guess. i wonder if i wore one of the Krucial 'Theft' tshirts if it would be any better...i'm sure someone on fldnb still has one around

I saw a video from it on Friday night and the club looks really good. The problem with all these clubs, besides their names, is that they have thinned out the clubs all around or in some cases will probably cause some to close before they themselves close as those types of clubs have never worked here without a serious niche.

The opening of two clubs of that size in such a short time, along with certain restaurants and other spaces becoming clubs over the past year are going to leave Gainesville with a bunch of open commercial spaces that will be vacant once they all sink. The laser tag arena, the onstant switching of ownership downtown; I see it all going downhill for the investors.

half the time its the same guys opening the new clubs, closing them & opening up on the next block as something else. at least there are a couple now that are open to edm. the lasertag place cracks me up tho. i wanna have a laserbass party in it before it goes away
