madness. we tore the fucking doors off. literally.

the Laboratory reached capacity during a summer break week party!!!

and about halfway thru Pillager's set, the front door fell off. which actually made it more comfortable in there as it made for less congestion & more airflow, but the venue wouldnt allow us to go past 2am since they couldnt close the damn door lol. Ori & JHart came thru with an afterparty spot and i didnt get home till daylight. really sucks about the A-N-D party being canceled but it consolidated the heads & made for a really wonderful night!


and we'll just keep adding to the lineup till the summer is over...

May was Pillager vs Illustrain...

June was Sketch(Mike G) & Pillager...

July will be Sketch, Pillager vs Illustrain PLUS a special local favorite TBA!

August Rx will team up with the BassCamp crew to bring the biggest Bass party Gainesville has seen in a long while now...thats right...BASS. cuz who gives a fuck what genre it is as long as it has proper Bass frequencies!

Dubstep on Vinyl....lol..who cares..I heard the same damn tunes from that dude at two parties....and got told that I could'nt play at their night unless I only played vinyl....I have'nt laughed that hard inna long time...seriously just cause you play vinyl does'nt mean shit if your mixing skills blow and your tunes are old.. :twisted: :evil:

as for the vinyl...i cant get booked at their night either, cus i dont play vinyl only. i however applaud their vinyl-only night. they are working on a night at Vault where they will book local djs who play all formats. however if only for the mere reason of sticking to their guns...i fucking salute basscamp! Rx, however, is not vinyl-only. just that one set was. and for those of us out there who actually use vinyl, it's a rarity & a special occasion, worth being mentioned. fuck yes i have all of those tracks on mp3 too, and many more that are newer & dirtier. thats what makes our sets DIFFERENT, NOT ALL THE SAME. i know the guy has everything available on vinyl, so when we play together i make the extra effort to find exclusive tracks that he wont have. that pushes him to find more vinyl. as for mixing, Pillager's is on point, but not digital. and the dancefloor went from sparse to packed during his set. and the door came off. just sayin :lol:
