info re: East Coast Boogimen
As the celebrated tag-team duo East Coast Boogiemen, partners Ken Christiansen & Juan Zapata have recieved critical praise across the globe for their innovative brand of funky house music. Adopting an unusual setup with 4 to 6 turntables and 2 mixers, they use their exceptional musical talent to weave diverging elements into an amazing listening experience. Their extraordinary live performances showcase their wildly unique, multi-layered sets with on-the-spot mixes, all the while maintaining an unyeilding energy that works the dance floor into a frenzy. With releases on labels from Moonshine to Astralwerks and celebrated French house label Brique Rogue, the duo has been producing at an astonishing rate, with every new single generating massive industry buzz and record label interest.

"In an area where most house DJ's and producers
are already well-established and not making much
room for anyone else, the Boogiemen have managed
to climb to the top."
DC ONE Magazine
"I have heard that ECB is one of the best kept secrets,
and I don't see that lasting too long... It's only a
matter of time, when the rest of the world sees House
like these two live it."

Mixer Magazine 2001
"I love me some Boogiemen."

Info re: Lawnchair Generals
Peter Christianson and Carlos Mendoza (AKA The LawnChair Generals) hail from Seattle, Washington. Their debut release, "The Great Escape EP", (released on Viva! Recordings) was one of last year's biggest underground house records, considered an instant hit with DJs around the globe, most notably Mark Farina, Doc Martin, and DJ Heather. They've been hard at work in the studio, with two new EP's due to come out later this year on Doc Martin's new label Westbound. We're very excited to be releasing their very first remix, (completed with friend Rick Preston) a fantastic re-work of Alexander East "No More".

Surrounded with the music of salsa, merengue, classical and jazz as a child, Carlos Mendoza grew up with his love for music deeply ingrained. But then, around 1985, he discovered House music. However, it wasn’t really until one fateful night at A Rave Called Sharon in San Francisco, in 1991, that the real addiction took hold. He got his hands on turntables a few years later, and as he was carefully crafting his record collection, he began playing at House nights here and there in Seattle, Wa.
Raised in Portland, Oregon, Peter Christianson moved to Canada to study audio engineering and production. After graduation, he quickly put his new knowledge to work practicing as an engineer in Vancouver. During this time Peter gained a breadth of experience working on everything from jazz and rock to funk and pop. It would be more then three years, before Peter moved back to the states and began producing his own electronic music.

At the very beginning of 2000, Peter moved to Seattle as the Manager and Head Buyer of Platinum Records. It was here that he met Carlos, his current production partner. After lots of discussion and even more drinks, Peter and Carlos began producing together as LawnChair Generals. Their very first experiment yielded their first release on Viva Recordings, "The Great Escape". The pair was pleasantly surprised when this release garnered the praise of national and worldwide heavyweights alike. Charted in publications by the likes of Mark Farina and Colin Dale of the BBC, and broken out on dance floors by Johnny Fiasco, DJ Heather, Doc Martin, Rob Mello and more all over the world, the release has garnered this pair more attention than they expected. Now LawnChair Generals have released their second original E.P. entitled U Dirty on Doc Martin’s latest imprint, Westbound, which has already been licensed to compilations by DJ Heather and Hipp-e and Halo.
