Social Groove WMC Tsunami Fundraiser

Post by Gryphyn »

Social Groove WMC Tsunami Fundraiser
presented by The Social Groove Collective in conjuntion with Trendfusion, Mercy Corps, Reflex Entertainment, Applehead Films, Big Shot Magazine, and AM Only

On Thursday, March 24, 2005, over 800 industry professionals in music, film, art, and fashion will converge on Miami’s Macarena's Lounge for Social Groove’s Tsunami Fundraiser. Most WMC events focus strictly on dance music, so Social Groove is bringing its unique brand of cross-genre concerts to WMC with an exciting lineup of hip hop, electronic, latin and rock acts guaranteed to turn heads and play host to an amazing night of music and people.

Headliners include: 2-time Source Magazine “Independent Album of the Year” winner Zion I; acclaimed rockers Days of the New, and famed progressive producers Grayarea, Jody Wisternoff, Loco Dice, and D:fuse. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Mercy Corps, a charity organization recently recognized as a world leader in Tsunami Relief efforts by ABC’s Good Morning America.

For more info on Social Groove, please visit www.socialgroove.com.

Date of Event: Thursday, March 24
Venue: Macarena's Lounge (1334 Washington Avenue)
Event Times: 7:00pm-5:00am on Thursday(3/24)

i've seen grayarea live 3 times last year (twice in la and once in nyc)..so i don't feel bad about missing this show. plus, my party is going towards tsunami relief as well.

grayarea doesn't have nosmo anymore so this should be interesting!

No one from Days of the New will be playing due to unforseen circumstances. A replacement performer is TBA.

Too bad....

Jody would be worth seeing. I've always wanted to see him.
