I am going to track this guy down and find out why I got this e-mail sent to me and why is he using my e-mail address. I just hope that the credit card used does not have my name on it. Reading this e-mail makes me feel kind of sick. Is there any way I can find out if I have credit cards floating around under my name that I don't know about?

thanks for the advice! when you found out that you had three credit cards floating around... did you have to pay for it and also have it cancelled?BrokeA$$Niki wrote:Order a copy of your credit report. Everyone should do that about once a year anyway. I ordered mine a few years back and found three credit cards that I never owned. Don't order it more than once a year though. It looks bad when you are trying to get a loan.
I'm not too worried but then again that is some serious shit if someone fucked with my credit. I even sent the ticket company an e-mail. They haven't responded to me back yet. It's still early for them to reply back. If I don't hear from them in the next couple of days I think I am going to file a complaint against that company as well as trying to find who this guy is. I hope it was just a glitch in the computer.
It's not ticketmaster... they're called ticketannex. Only reason I would file a complaint or whatever on them is because I notify them asking questions to get answers concerning that e-mail they sent me. I don't want the situation to be ignored. I'm sure that if this happened to many others and they didn't do anything like what I am trying to do then this type of thing may happen all the time. Since I am trying to do something maybe the company can change their policy. I don't think it's right to use a credit card over the phone or on the internet. Credit Card fraud is soooo easy to use, if you purchase anything those 2 ways. Even in person it's still easy to use. I know this because of experience working in retail and hearing other peoples stories.
I use my credit card on the internet and over the phone all the time. I do realize that it can be very easy to steal information, but I am not going to let it affect my life to a great extent. That is why I make sure that there are fruad clauses on all my cards. Is there an 800 number you can call for the company. Some email addresses aren't meant to receive replies.
when you order your own credit report it doesnt take points. its when you apply for credit. if your approved it takes 1 point, if you get denied its 5 points.BrokeA$$Niki wrote:Only one of the cards had a balance on it. I disputed the validity of the card, and they ended up eating it. There is always going to be a trail proving whether or not the card is really yours. Just order a copy of your credit report and try not to worry about it too much.

Marta - that is good information to know. I have no clue. This will be my first time having to request for a credit report.Marta wrote:when you order your own credit report it doesnt take points. its when you apply for credit. if your approved it takes 1 point, if you get denied its 5 points.BrokeA$$Niki wrote:Only one of the cards had a balance on it. I don't have any credit cards at the moment. I had to cancell all of them because I went in debt. I just don't want something else holding me back even further in debt. Right now, I am one broke ass bitch I can't afford to pay for something else that I have nothing to do with. I am trying to fix my own shit which is a struggle for me but things are beginning to work out slowly.BrokeA$$Niki wrote:I use my credit card on the internet and over the phone all the time. They also look at how many times your credit report has been pulled. The more times it has been pulled, the worse it looks. It is not just about what you get approved for and what you don't. All of your creditors look up your report every so often also. So, the more credit cards you have, the more times your report will be looked at. Trust me, I had to go through a whole financial responsibility thing about 6 months back. Went to classes and everything.
