This mix, entitled It Is What It Is, features MC XYZ on the mic and on the decks (under the DJ moniker "Bumrussian"). The mix more than a year old and in it XYZ tries to touch upon many different sounds and styles of drum n bass. With over 3,000 records of all sorts to his name, sometimes XYZ just likes to make his own mixes and rhyme over them (the predecessor to this mix is a CD entitled "Something, Something"). From Shy FX to General Malice to XXXL & Chris Paul to Dylan to Krust to Die, this mix has a little bit of everything not to mention his lyrics.
Also be sure to check the last song on the CD ("Fireworks") which is a downtempo song he worked on with 2 producers (who have done music work for The Oscars, Grammys and Nike.com) and a Dutch vocalist (who people say sounds strikingly similar to a most revered Icelandic artist).
