DAVE ROBERTSON: Long Night / Cancel The Groove
Sequential Records
RELEASE DATE: Out Now
Hey All, For those interested ..
Sequential Records is the new offshoot of Innovate Recordings which will showcase a more tech-house vibe. The label starts with the quality release from Dave Robertson and has material signed and ready for release by James Talk, Dave Spoon Joshua Collins and more.
Here we see them start to spread their wings further with a more tech house vibe and kicks off with a two tracker from Dave Robertson .
On the A side is Long Night which is the more interesting with bubbing sounds and minimal delayed fx that glide over a squidgy mix of melodic cuts. This gradually develops as the glitchy percussion takes over the swing while elements are brought to the fore , given a slight workout and eased back into the melting pot.
Cancel The Groove is a combination of subtle tech fused house from the start . A deep bassline sets the tone while skippy hats begin to add motion as the track takes shape. Tweaked stabby sounds begin to ricoshet of one another while the rhythm continues alongside , dropping out briefly as a twangly pad creeps up momentarily before setting off on its way again .
Support from: Shiloh, Hernan Cattaneo, PJ Davy, Moshic, Gpal, James Talk, Tyler Stadius, Chris Salt, Chris Cargo, Cass, and more.
