a mix that i would like to create...
a mix that i would like to create...
1"wishing on a star.." dnb mix..(forgot the actual track name..though i've spun it in the past...damn..if anyone remembers please let me know..it's bugging me..)
2"Damaged..." by Plummet
3" ..we started dancing and love put us into the groove, ..." -let the music play..just let the groove come back to you...no no no...( i think that song was by Sheila E.. i do know that many of samples are from this old song..)
4 " Spring Love" by Stevie B..i know, i know..very old, yet was an innocent=mushy love song back in the 80's and gave us spring fever in school...i know u all remember your first kiss back when..
5. "Security" " another day, another night...another place, another time..Security..."original record
6. Egytian lover: by The Egyptian Lover...{FreakBeat Records}
7. "Gravity" - Shiraz= it has female vocals-("ooohhhh....ohhh yeah...ENERgize"_)
8. and finish with a record i love and will always cherish..but don't remember the name..it has the classic Apache drum sample and is played in many breakdancing competitions...one mix has m.c. flipFlop's samples...
or maybe finish it with a Kurtis blow or james Brown record...
well, that's a start...do u think it would be possible.?.i know when u mix, u have to deal with the rpm (i think that's it) of each song..and u can ruin the vibe of the song because of the previous record..
thankyou for reading..input would be awesome...
i need as much advice as possible= i will hopefully be getting turntables for xmas

This was done by "Shannon" not Sheila E. back in good old 1983.katra80 wrote:3" ..we started dancing and love put us into the groove, ..." -let the music play..just let the groove come back to you...no no no...( i think that song was by Sheila E.. i do know that many of samples are from this old song..)
Sounds like a fun would be mix I love all the tracks you listed except Plummet "Damaged" that song makes my skin crawl. "Let the music play" on the other hand gives me goosebumps.
Don't worry about the BPM's i have heard lots of great mixes wher the tempo fluctuates. Its all about how you put the songs together. In fact beatmatching wasn't even really around when most of those songs came out originally.
