Side A (Original): Ali has hit the nail on the head with this progressive gem. The pulsating bassline rolls along like thunder, moving into percussion that makes the track come alive. The underlying lead guides the track smoothly, steadily building the tension. Transitioning to the break, a beautiful acoustic guitar solo with an eerie western vibe begins, carrying the break back into the track’s hard-hitting drums and percussion. This is one of Ali’s stormiest tracks to date.
Side AA (T-Lectual’s Electroport Slick Mix): T-Lectual puts forth a solid electro house version with a nice progressive touch. Pads with a reminiscing sound of the guitar solo start off hovering below a slightly syncopated beat. Then the bassline and main lead kick in, moving the song along nicely. The reverberated off-clap weighs the beat nicely while the percussion buzzes ahead. The building pad melody adds that nice touch. The tripped out breaks have everything from slick airport samples to eerie pool FX. The build is nice and steady, leading into a retro-synth frenzy.
