I don't think so. I did stumble across this new site called beatport. You can buy really cheap vinyl there. I found some good songs for between $1.49 and $2.49. Man I can remember paying $10.00 for a good 12" disk with a couple of cool songs and a remix. Best of all Beatport doesn't charge shipping. I can't wait for my shipment of records to show up this week. I bought about 50 tunes for about $80. I can't figure out how Beatport can ship that amount of weight without charging for shipping. Beatport must sell a shitlaod of vinyl to offer record prices as low as they do. Man I got to love me some technology. BTW does anyone know what MP3 or WAV stands for?I just assumed it had something to do with the way the vinyl must have be copyrighted these days.Slambrecht wrote:seriously though
Is there currently anywhere in Gainesville to buy vinyl?

Thanks Cramela, but you are really confusing me now. So there are new copyright laws with the records this Beatport site you speak of sells? I so, is there something I need to know when ordering? Does the MP3 and WAV apply to old records or just newercramela wrote:I don't think so. I did stumble across this new site called beatport. You can buy really cheap vinyl there. ones? I called Beatport's telephone number but they were not helpful at all. They were very rude on the phone and they were trying to joke with me which I did not appreciate. Do you have to know someone there or something? They said they would not sell me any vinyl and we got into an argument about the new copyright laws you mentioned and they eventually hung up on me. That is no way to run a business in my book.
