ABOUT THE RELEASE:
On October 4th, 1957, the human race took a major step forward. Sputnik, a satellite developed by Russian scientists and engineers, became the first vessel to leave the Earth’s atmosphere and enter outer space. Just as this advancement was a major accomplishment of its time, The Sputnik EP marks a new chapter in the story of Rock It Science Laboratories. After releasing 9 singles and 2 compilations which have been met with a wide range of support and positive reviews, The Sputnik EP is the young label’s first full-fledged artist EP. Who better to lead this maiden voyage then our co-captain DJ Fame? Featuring original work by Fame, collaborations with Santiago & Bushido and Eric Sharp, and a Moombahton remix by Lithuania’s Boyfriend, these tracks do not need any words of hype; the music speaks for itself. We can hardly wait to unleash these tunes on the world and beyond.

ABOUT DJ FAME:
Amos Damon aka DJ Fame’s commitment to house music spans 3 decades. His story begins in New York City in the mid 1990s, DJing and promoting events. Fame then grew to become a resident at the acclaimed Sullivan Room, a very important Manhattan venue that heralded forward-thinking artists where droves of dancers came to groove. Then came a natural progression to studio work, learning the ropes at the Institute of Audio Research. Early on in Fame’s music making, a groundbreaking producer from the UK named Dave Taylor aka Switch / Solid Groove took an interest in his work. The “Name It X” EP became the first release on the monstrous Dubsided imprint by an American producer. The record made major waves, sending Fame all over the world showcasing his DJ skills and his taste in music. Always seeking improvement, Amos continued releasing music on a smattering of labels. He also began a collaboration project with Gaby Dershin of Astro & Glyde known as Bit Crushers. Today, Fame remains prolific in the studio and continues to progress as a producer. He now heads A & R at Rock It Science Laboratories and has been an integral part of the label. With an intense focus, energy, skill, work ethic, and dedication to the music he loves, DJ Fame deserves every bit of success he achieves.
