Thanks for the kind mention gents (however, i'm certainly not rich).
I look at EDM like it's a group of ladies. All different shapes sizes and colors. When it's all said and done, they are all beautiful women. Everybody has the right to describe their lady in the way that they see fit. I think there's a difference between a classification and a description.
My girlfriend is tall, tan, toned and sweet.
I can totally relate to where BOTH of you (celestial and z) are coming from. Not everyone wants to go through all the time and energy that it takes to research 100 different styles of music. Not everyone wants to. Some people find a style that suits their personality and emotion and they stick to it like glue. That's admirable. I, however, am a musical slut.
Since I can't go around sleeping with all different kinds of girls in real life, I do it with music. You get less diseases that way.
When all is said and done, do and say what you feel. I don't think it does any good to worry about what other people have to say or do. Electronic music isn't cool. It's much bigger than that.
I am no expert. I just know what I love. I love music and I love you guys.
Peace,
dan

I would so love to go see Ferry at Space this weekend, but I have other obligations.
Ferry will definatly be worth it!
I consider myself a true "TrancEaddict". Go to www.tranceaddict.com and you'll see what I mean. That is the best board I've ever seen on any subject, and it is infinitly informative on the Trance scene in every little club all over the world. And the people are perfect examples of why I love Trance. All of them are so nice and so fucking cool. Check it out! Brent(Zewad) is a TA too, really cool guy. I miss him, lol.
Trance is what really got me into Electronic Music. Paul van Dyk is my personal god.
Global pretty much stays in my DVD player, and I have several of his live sets from Cream/Mayday/Ultra/LoveParade that are on constant rotation, along with some Armin van Buuren and Oakenfold.
Really good trance tunes check out: For an Angel by PvD(perhaps the best EM song ever written, listen to it on a high end surround system, you'll see.) also try some Armin and Marco V. Ferry is also great and Markus Schultz & Edgar V(also both TAs
) are both fucking awesome live! Edgar is Florida's own PvD, very similar styles. I love Armin's live style, so much energy.
I was pretty in to Trance untill I went to see PvD for the first time in Miami at the old Space this past December. About 4AM he dropped Otra Dia, by PvD, and the whol;e crowd locked arm in arm and swayed back and forth. So much power and emotion. Some people were crying and I mean it was insane. At thet point I knew Trance was my life. Producing and spinning Trance is so fucking fun. DnB is cool and all, but I'll always be a TrancEaddict at heart!

P.S. I'm still not 100 percent sure, but I believe Christopher Lawrence will be in Orlando on the 10th of September at Icon.

come on everyone, let's keep the "I love trance" thread alive. Did anyone else see Sasha when he was here in 1999 at paradome? I want to hear someone else's story. Mine was crazy!!!!!I can't believe he didn't stop playing until 7 in the morning. Just think how lucky we were to have like a six hour set from sasha. Any takers?????
Hell, just tell us about one of your favorite nights for that matter, can be anyone.

Well, I didn't get down to Miami (or anywhere else for that matter) to see Ferry Corsten, and after reading posts about the show at TA, I'm sorta bummed.
Please, someone keep me posted if there's an upcoming show that will be worth going to - this time I'll plan far enough in advance to make sure I go.. I hear PVD will be there in November.
Spyke - like Angie - I really appreatiate the words you write about Trance. It's rare to find others who "feel" the music that you describe - it would be incredible to see a whole club full of people feeling it.
I bought Armin van Buuren's "Boundaries of Imagination" - and it's GREAT!
I'm curious where to find Otra Dia by PVD...

Is it better to abide by the rules until they're changed, or help speed the change by breaking the rules?
