I'm not an emcee but some of my favorites are: j-live, black thought, nas, del, pep love, posdnous, edan, asheru, chali 2na, aceyalone, gift of gab, lyrics born, guru... and the list goes on

what's CPI poetry of faries? i'm curious cause i dig your taste in mc's...

i would add kanye west (great producer, too- i'm a sucker for the speeded up r&b samples), the 3 from jurassic 5, esp tuna, de la soul, uh, tribe called quest, rakim, ...

i saw sage francis out at coachella- interesting- he rapped over tori amos, massive attack, nirvana, etc. he didn't seem to respect dj's too much...

i think it took away from the show though, it was different, but a live funky dj definitely adds flava, i loved his rhymes though

atmospere was one of the best shows i saw-they were tight

i'm listening to danger mouse and jay-z right now, pretty good, i'm not a huge jay-z fan though

what are some fav dj's??

i'd pick hi tech, eric b, cut chemist (he's a genius- i.e. brainfreeze), probably shadow, but by a long shot, by an unpaved 3-mile island, my fav layer of beats is ?uestlove

sage may have said that because a cd really was his dj that day. it is presumptuous for me to say that he didn't seem to respect djs. i guess he just wasn't utilizing one that day. i know he has toured with djs before.
