A guy and a girl on guitar. Both sing. Kind of like the Raveonettes but their sound isn't as distorted like the Raveonettes. If you like Elastica you will like The Kills. The Kills are rising stars in the indie scene. Many indierockers and punkrockers are huge fans. Most of their shows have been selling out. It did in Florida. That's one of the reasons why I couldn't go.
Another artist to check out is Lilian Hak http://www.sirenmusic.nl/. I have not heard of her. This guy recommended everyone to check her out. She played at a show with The Kills. In fact, The Kills requested that she played one of their shows. I did check out her sound clip and I think she has a great sound. I think she is worth checking out
i have said this before in other posts, but if you havent checked on THE EXIT- HOME FOR AN ISLAND yet, you should certainly give it a listen...it is very upbeat pop-punk jams which sound at times close to the POLICE and the CLASH. they are a three piecer, and i got to catch them opening up for MUSE down in ORLANDO, and they completely blew my mind...i had the cd stuck in my player for at least 3 months i was so addicted, and their first album is catchy too, but not anywhere near as addictive in my opinion. as for the KILLS, i have been meaning to pick that cd up for some time now, but procrastination can be bizzatch...lol...as for the other artist i had never heard of her myself either...let me know how it is if you pick it up. peaceout, T$
What did you think of them? I think they are alright. I use to be the singers boss when I was at Fye in Brunswick. I could have fired his ass so many times. He was a cool guy so I didn't.
