On the way home tonight from St. Pete, I had a reality check.
One of those tradgic moments in life that almost seem to take place on a dim stage in front of you.
As I was going N. on I-275 I came up on some flashing lights, cones, flares, etc. I caught myself scoffing as I pulled up... "Damn construction.." and then I saw it. 2 crumpled cars. One being hoisted onto a flat bed tow truck. The other, one with the crash rail. About 600 ft. away pulled off on the road sat another "tricked out" car, w/ 2 boys sitting on the trunk looking utterly distraught.
I'd driven through what had probably 1.5 hrs. earlier been a devistaing street racing wreck.
There was no question that there had been multiple fatalities.
My stomache dip flip flops, and I nearly cried for the loss the families of those kids would be going through begining tomorrow.
I can only hope that their friends will be thankful for their lives and will learn a too costly lesson from the ordeal.
I know this isn't very uplifting, but it's reality. And I needed to share it.
Please don't be recless in your life... it doesn't make you cool... and it usually hurts those around you.
Peace and Love,
CrimelessRaver
