George Cochrane follows up his massive Prismatic release ‘My Synthesizer Won’t Behave’ with ‘Running Down’.The plaudits have been raining in recently for Cochrane, who also records as Origami, with iDJ amongst others stating “I’ve yet to hear a duff track from Cochrane and it seems there are many out there who agree.” ‘Running Down’ features a classic vocal cover sung by George himself over techy beats and another subline trademark funk fuelled bassline. Dub and Deep remixes are also provided. ‘Reaver’ has a tougher tech house sound which should cross boundaries into some electro sets.
Cochrane’s last outing on Prismatic, ‘My Synthesizer Won’t Behave’ scored a perfect 10/10 in iDJ, drew comparisons to Green Velvet, Freaks and Classic Recordings, and achieved widespread DJ support including Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada, Ewan Pearson, Satoshi Tomiie, Jesse Rose and Luke Solomon, who even went on to release three of his own remixes of the track.

Inhale Review by Travis Kell:
“Reaver - San Francisco label Prismatic releases George Cochrane's follow up release to his big hit "my synthesizer won't behave" with a 4 track ep in the deep/tech house style. Reaver is a nice groovy electrified stomper, laden with synth stabs complimented by a flowing and atmospheric feel still maintaining a toughness all thru it.
Running Down (original mix, dub mix, deep mix) - Doing his own vocals on this offering was a good move for George. His voice and delivery has a kinda pet shop boys feel to it. The song benefits from a great funky bassline that carries it through and has a nice overall flow with the lyrics haunting, yet expressive. The dub mix quirks things up a bit more and loses all the vocals to reveal a sturdy and thumpin deep tech track. The deep mix has a lovely melodic harmony to it and brings the lyric back in a flowing style with a feel similar to OM records. Very well produced and a good track.”
