Hot on the heels of the dub infusion in breakbeat, this track definitely sits nicely with recent offerings in that vein, and features the sound-system styled vocals from the Nottingham-based troubadour Percy Dread. Possibly best known for fronting one of the UKs best loved roots reggae combos the Natural-Ites, Percy doesn’t stray far from his Rasta sensibilities and his poetic lyric melds with Scott’s masterful beats with surprising aplomb. Serious Action is a testament to Hexadecimal and is a shining example of what people can expect from the highly anticipated debut album on Disctintive which is dropping in May of 2010.
On the flip Bristol newcomers 'Dub Menace' blur the lines between dubstep and UK Funky, dropping heavy basslines and low slung beats. If this remix is anything to go off of, great things are surely ahead for this west country pairing.
