Are you not a fan of Dan D'mantra? (NOT A NAME THROW, A GOOD EXAMPLE) He plays a wide variety of dance music and doesn't get hung up on one specific music genre, and is quite successful at it, I have read his credentials at Trancedomain and met him in person and he is a class act. I am not saying that I am him I am just saying being more open minded about electronic music in general might help.

Dan is a good friend of mine and has a wide variety of music that he plays. He is both able to afford being able to purchase records of different genres all the time, and has time to research it. With myself, I dont have the time, spare money, or the want to. I play house, I listen to house, I like house.....I listen to other things at work all day that I dont want to listen to....muzak sucks ass....so therefore when I'm at Home/Car/Club I enjoy to listen to House.
Since its not a "random flavor of the month" and something I have been working on for quite some time this would entail that I am a "House" DJ. I mix in some Teck House, Filter House, Disco House, Deep House, Progressive House, Tribal House, Jazzy House, etc. but I just say "House". You could describe it if they inquired about you and start a worth while conversation insted of "I play everything under the sun and you dont have to wonder what I play"
Dan also does not make up cool sounding "genres" to make him sound cooler than the other guy. Also note that the genres I have mentioned are all normal, standard names used in the music community. I mean when you write something like:
I spin Hard German and Dutch Trance, High Energy Euro Trance, Dark Lush Trance as well as Vocal Progressive House, Deep Sexy House, Spacey Electro House, Sexy Drum 'n' Bass and Timeless Classics.
It seems kinda.....silly i guess.
My comment was not of what your knoledge or your mixing ability or you as a person. It was because of your overly creative names you came up with. You try too hard to stand out, let your actions speak for themselves.
Im tired now.......and going to sleep.
